The following organizations were instrumental in the creation of the scale and were involved in the project in varying degrees:
  • Dirt Divas
  • Camp Danbee
  • Camp Newaygo
  • Camp Seaferer
  • Camp Tanasi: Girls Scouts of Southern Appalachians
  • North Shore Holiday House
  • Rosie's Girls
  • Sanborn Western-High Trail Ranch
  • Sherwood Forest

Special thanks to Shelby Koch, Recreation, Parks and Tourism students at Radford University (and Dr. Whittington's work-study student), who entered and organized TONS of data!

We are interested in building additional tools to measure outcomes of girls' experiences.  This includes testing the AGRS with girls under the age of 10 or creating tools to measure other areas such as: leadership, body image, creativity.  We are open to suggestions!

Interested in working on future projects with us please let us know?  To discuss options or pitch an idea please contact Dr. Anja Whittington via email or 540-831-2476.  Need help with data analysis, writing and reporting?  Consider hiring us!
